Piping materialsDouble block and bleed valves - General Valve Twin Seal - CameronORI Srl represents, as sole agent for the italian market, a line of double block and bleed twin seal valves from Cooper Cameron, formerly manufactured as General Valve. Double block and bleed twin seal valves are an optimal solution for the perfect fluid segregation, being capable of a bubble tight shut off for years of continous service, assuring that no product is lost and that there is no contamination between different products. Twin seal valves are mainly used in the field of petrochemical industry, in the fiscal lines of fuel storage areas in refineries and plants. Rapid seal abrasion is inherent in the designs of most ball and gate valves. General Valve's Twin Seal stops this constant wear by using two seating slips mounted independently on a tapered plug by dovetails. The age-old double block and bleed system required the use of two valves and a spool piece. A bleed valve was used to drain the spool and verify seal integrity. The Twin Seal replaces this antiquated two-valve system with just one double-seated bubble-tight valve. The upstream and downstream seal provide the same function as the two block valves. The body (serving as a spool piece) bleed verifies seal integrity.
